VERSYS TOURER EXPANDS KAWASAKI RANGE

First shown in prototype form at the NEC motorcycle show late last year, the Kawasaki Versys Tourer has now been added to the 2009 UK Kawasaki range.

Such was the reception for the concept at Britain's biggest two wheel show, Kawasaki Motors UK has now commissioned a limited run of the machines featuring practical and stylish touring accessories as standard.

Available in either one of three base machine colours comprising Metallic Diablo Black, Metallic Moondust Grey and Pearl Wildfire Orange, the specification comprises black Versys branded panniers (including pannier rack), and a tinted adjustable flip up screen. Customers can also decide whether they have the Tourer in ABS or non ABS form.

Fitted with nearly £500 worth of Kawasaki Genuine accessories as standard, the new Versys Tourer will retail at only £325 more than the standard machine, making it a very attractive ownership proposition.

Sales and Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, Michael Johnstone, sees the new limited edition model as a valuable addition to an expanding sector of the motorcycle market.

"We all know the excitement and freedom that riding a motorcycle brings, but practical issues such as outstanding fuel economy, ease of servicing and luggage capacity, are also understandably high on many riders' wish lists."

"The new Versys Tourer is based on a highly versatile and well regarded machine. We expect the first consignment to be snapped up very quickly when they become available at the end of February".

Editors note: If you are on the verge of parting cash for a standard Versys get in the que for this version, as per the christmas bundled deal represents great value, plus it's all fitted already for you, if you're a lazy sod...
