SUZUKI GLADIUS LAUNCHES WITH £99 INSURANCE DEAL FOR NEW RIDERS

With Suzuki's all-new Gladius 650 launched to European press earlier this month, Suzuki GB has announced a £99 fully comprehensive insurance offer on the new bike, for riders who pass their Direct Access motorcycle test through any Suzuki Selected Training School before the end of March this year.

With the all-new Gladius capturing the imagination of many enthusiasts already, the new 650cc naked styled bike, bridges the gap between beginner and experienced riders, thanks to its confidence inspiring chassis and impressive performance combination.

A Suzuki spokesman commented, "Our new rider insurance offer has already proven popular since its introduction last year, and so adding the all-new Gladius provides even more choice for our customers. As well as the new 650 twin's introduction, we are also extending the current offer on the other models until the end of March, giving virtually every new rider a bike that suits their needs."

As well as the £99 Insurance offer, the Gladius is also available with a free restrictor kit fitted, for riders on restricted licenses, creating a good value on the road package. The Gladius will arrive in UK dealer showrooms from 23rd February, with a recommended retail price of £4,500 + government charges.

KICKSTART THE NEW YEAR WITH A NEW BIKE

That's the important message in 2009, alongside the announcement of the 100% Kawasaki finance campaign covering six stunning models in the Japanese manufacturer's popular road bike range.

With an amazing 0% APR (typical) finance on offer, and an equally generous three years to pay, the scheme is already attracting buyers keen to take to two wheels early in the bike riding season.

Featuring the mighty ZZR1400 as part of the offer - as well as the Award winning Versys - the finance deals currently available at UK franchised Kawasaki road bike dealers also cover 2008 model Ninja ZX-6R and ER-6f too.

That's not all though. These four bikes are joined by the mean and moody Ninja ZX-10R and the 2008 model ER-6n, the fun and fuel frugal bike of choice for countless commuters.

"Whether you commute daily, ride at the weekends or love watching motorway miles melt away, there's a great choice from the bikes we have on 0% APR (typical) finance", commented Sales and Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, Michael Johnstone.

"With commuting, vehicle running costs and timesaving all vying for attention, we think we've added that vital final ingredient with the 100% Kawasaki finance campaign to get riders on a new machine right at the start of the biking season".

The mighty ZZR1400, one of several models in Kawasaki's road range, now available on 0% finance and a £99 deposit, be rude not to really...

Honda Raises well needed cash for NSPCC

Honda (UK) is pleased to have raised more than £4,000 for the NSPCC, following a donation giving initiative by the Honda Motorcycle division at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show in December.

Aware of the need for strong carrier bags to hold motorcycle show purchases and giveaways, but also conscious of environmental issues, Honda Motorcycles chose to produce large and re-usable fabric branded bags for the NEC show, with a suggested donation of £1 per bag. The generous motorcycle show visitors dug deep and a fantastic £4,342.13 was raised.

Honda (UK)’s staff collectively choose three charities to support each year, with the NSPCC being one of the current nominated charities along with BEN (the automotive industry charity) and The Woodland Trust. Honda (UK) staff chose the NSPCC for the second consecutive year following the charity’s high profile presence in the national media, demonstrating its inspiring work and campaigns with young people.

Sarah Pyser, NSPCC Account Manager (Corporate Partnerships) said, “The NSPCC is absolutely delighted to be working with Honda (UK) for a second year, especially as we were nominated by staff! To receive this money means so much to the NSPCC and it will go towards our school teams’ work. School teams’ offer counseling support to children and young people about their problems, no matter how big or small so they can make the most of their lives.”

Simon Gardiner, Manager of Marketing Operations for Honda (UK) said, "I'm really pleased with the amount we raised at the NEC show – it just goes to show that the motorcycling public are a big-hearted bunch who are only too willing to support a great cause. The NSPCC does vital work and every penny raised has gone straight to them to ensure they can keep their good work going."

The NSPCC's purpose is to end cruelty to children. For more information visit www.nspcc.org.uk.
